Placement Age Requirements

Little Beginnings through Pre-Kindergarten 3 (Ages 1-3) – Students must be at the appropriate age 1, 2, or 3 by September 1st. Children are not required to be potty trained before entering school.

 

Pre-Kindergarten 4 through Lower Elementary-Grade 3 (Ages 4-8) – Students must be at the appropriate age 4, 5 (Pre-K4 & Kindergarten) by September 1st. Children are required to be potty trained of the admissions year.

 

Grades 1-3 – GA reserves the right to determine the proper placement of new students in grades one and above. In addition to age, the Admissions Committee will assess the applicant’s academic level, previous school record, as well as the student’s physical, social and emotional development.

 

Upper Elementary-Grade 4 through High School (Grades 4-11) – GA reserves the right to determine the proper placement of new students in grades one and above. In addition to age, the Admissions Committee will assess the applicant’s academic level, previous school record, as well as the student’s physical, social and emotional development.

 

Grade 12 – No student is accepted into grade 12.
