Many of these courses are designed to provide students the opportunity to explore and discover areas of passion and creativity. Our blended learning approach challenges students through moving classroom experiences and problem and project-based inquiry learning that expand their knowledge and skill base while simultaneously developing critical and analytical skills needed to carry them through life.
Student assessment and evaluation performance at GA are both formative – formative assessment monitors student learning to provide ongoing feedback that can be used by instructors to improve their teaching and by students to improve their learning. More specifically, formative assessments: help students identify their strengths and weaknesses and target areas that need work; help faculty recognize where students are struggling and address problems immediately and by and summative – summative assessment is to evaluate student learning at the end of an instructional unit by comparing it against some standard or benchmark. Summative assessments are often high stakes, which means that they have a high point value. Examples of summative assessments include: a midterm exam, a final project; a paper or a senior recital.
To ensure overall student success we provide a safe, warm and friendly, clean, esthetically pleasing and supportive community in which of all individuals loved and respected. In adherence with our philosophy to see children oriented Biblically, motivated creatively and assisted practically to become the best they can be in every aspect of personality and area of performance in life and our core belief that each child is made in the image of God, given special gifts by God and has a God-ordained purpose in life, the job of all staff and teachers is to seek and harness those special gifts.
