Curriculum & blended learning

Taught in the Classroom. Tracked on the Platform.

Every Genesis course has a face-to-face teacher and a digital home — so learning is rigorous in class and visible at home the same day.

Blended learning showcase

Three platforms, chosen for what they reveal

Genesis committed to blended learning in 2016 and trained the faculty for a full year before rolling it out. The platforms are not a substitute for teaching; they are the record of it.

HMH - K5-Grade 6

Adaptive reading and mathematics practice that adjusts to the child's demonstrated level rather than their year group, used in timetabled lab sessions and set as short home practice. Growth reports are issued three times a year and drive our elementary intervention plan: who needs small-group support, and who needs extending.

Schoology - Grades 4–12

The course hub. Every secondary section has a live Schoology page mirroring the timetable: assignments with due dates, submission history, rubrics, graded feedback and teacher announcements. Parents hold their own login. If a paper was set on Monday and not submitted by Thursday, you can see that on Thursday — not at the end of term.

Schoology - Grades 7–12

Self-paced coursework used three ways: acceleration for students ready to move ahead, elective breadth where a timetable cannot fit a subject, and credit recovery where a course needs repeating. Units are mastery-gated at 80% and marked against exactly the same standards as classroom work, with a supervising subject teacher assigned to each student.

Co-curricular highlight

Competition is part of the timetable

Our achievement record is not accidental. Preparation for each of these runs in scheduled sessions with a named coach.

Science Fair

Grades 4 through 12 design an investigation, write it up and defend it before external judges each spring. Laboratory access is timetabled for senior entrants.

Art Fair

Studio work is exhibited campus-wide at the end of the second term, with selected entries submitted to national youth art competitions.

Spelling Bee training

Weekly coached sessions from Grade 2 upward — the direct source of our repeated district championships and national placements.
