Admission Policy

Our Admissions Team carefully reviews all applicants for admissions. Applicants must meet the academic and other criteria and must be a GOOD fit for our school.

GA will consider enrollment for any student whose needs can be met by the school’s programs. We do not accept students entering the 12th grade or students entering the 11th after the fall term has begun nor do we accept students EXPELLED from attending institutions.

Students entering Pre-K4-Grade 11 are required to sit an entrance examination and upon the satisfactory recommendation (Grade 3-12) from attending school along with passing results on the entrance examination applicant will be accepted. In necessary cases admission and placement decision may be based on student’s age. The school reserves the right to require additional supplementary measures at parental expense if deemed necessary, to ensure the success of all students.

Applications will not be reviewed until the entire application process, including application fee payment, supporting documents, testing, and interview with the Principal, is completed.

Admissions decisions include decisions regarding acceptance. The school does not offer financial aid or reduction in tuition or other fees. The possible outcomes are as follows:

Frequently asked

Admissions questions

If your question is not here, call the office on (242) 328-4920 and ask for admissions.

When does the application window open and close?

Applications open on 1 November for the following September. Places are offered on a rolling basis as assessments are completed, so early application genuinely matters — particularly in K5 and Grade 7, where internal students already hold most seats. 31 March is the priority deadline; after that we fill remaining seats as they become available and maintain a waiting list by year group. Mid-year entry is possible where a division has space and the child’s previous school can supply current records.

Is there an entrance examination?

Students age 4 through Grade 11 sit an entrance diagnostic exam on campus. It takes about ninety minutes, is written in a normal classroom, and requires no special preparation. Early Learning applicants (age 2-3) are not tested. They join a short play session with a teacher who observes language, social interaction and motor development.

How are tuition payments scheduled?

Tuition is due in full at the start of each of the three terms, on or before the first day of classes. Annual technology and laboratory fees are charged with the first term. A monthly payment plan is available on request for families who prefer to spread the cost; it must be agreed with the bursar before the school year begins. Report cards and transcripts are held for accounts in arrears, and re-enrolment for the following year is confirmed only once the account is clear.

Do siblings receive a discount?

A 5% tuition reduction applies to the third and each subsequent child enrolled in the same academic year. Registration and annual fees are charged per student regardless of the number of siblings enrolled.

What does my child need to start in Little Beginnings?

A child must be two years old by 30 September of the year of entry and have a completed immunisation record signed by a physician. Toilet training is not a requirement for entry — the division supports it as part of the year, in partnership with parents. We ask for a short settling-in schedule during the first week, which the division head will arrange with you individually.

Do you accept students transferring mid-pathway from another school?

Yes, in every year group except Grade 12, where BGCSE candidacy must be registered from the start of Grade 11. Transferring students supply their two most recent report cards, sit the placement assessment, and meet the division head with a parent. Where a curriculum gap exists — a subject not previously offered, for example — we use Ignitia to close it under a supervising teacher.

Are scholarships or financial assistance available?

A limited number of partial bursaries are awarded each year on a combination of academic merit and demonstrated need, primarily at entry into Grades 7 and 10. Applications are considered between January and March and require supporting documentation. Ask the admissions office for the bursary form when you apply.
